Castle continues to grow in Quebec

Castle announced today that they have added a new member location in the province of Quebec. Quincaillerie Shipek is located in Longue Pointe de Mingan, a lovely region of Minganie, QC and is the newest Castle Centre du Renovation.

Although the original hardware store of Mingan closed four years prior, the Pekuashipi and Ekuanitshit First Nation recently acquired the business. They appointed General Manager Guy Vigneault, who saw the opportunity to re-open and re-brand the original store. He was determined to ensure the hardware and home improvement supply needs of the community were being met.

“Our local residents had to travel over 40 km to find the nearest store and quite often could not find what they needed. I decided to reopen the store and make lumber, building materials and hardware more accessible. Becoming part of the Castle group gives us independence and access to many products. Castle will help us position the business for success and also supply the many upcoming housing developments with their LBM needs.” - Guy Vigneault, General Manager

The experienced team at Quincaillerie Shipek are looking forward to welcoming back the community and building a new reputation of exceptional service and expertise. They will celebrate a grand opening in the late summer.

“At Castle our priority is the success of members and our business model provides the support they need to achieve growth and prosperity. Our commitment to enlightening more independent retailers in Quebec to consider the benefits of growing with Castle continues.” - Ken Jenkins, Castle President

Castle welcomes Quincaillerie Shipek to the family.
