Castle Building Centres Group continues to see growth across Canada.
The newest independent lumber, building materials and hardware dealer making the move to Castle is Matériaux St Étienne Ltd. of St-Étienne-de-Lauzon; in the Québec City region. The newest independent member location has been serving the local community for over 30 years and comes to Castle from a competing national banner.
“Independents looking for a buying group that gives them the freedom to run their business and be truly independent, without any forced fidelity, are looking to Castle. We are pleased to welcome Matériaux St Étienne to the Castle group and this move further reinforces the fact that Castle is quickly becoming the bilingual buying group of choice to francophone independents in the Québec region.”
Ken Jenkins; President, Castle Building Centres Group.
The existing 6,000 square foot retail space which is currently under expansion sits on two hectares of land and is the site of a drive through warehouse totalling over 30,000 square feet. The business was acquired last year by entrepreneurs Amaury Sauer and Hélène Stichelbout who are excited about this new endeavour and the newly designed 10,000 square foot Castle branded store that will be completed by early spring. The retail store is staffed by over 25 employees and is a full service lumber, building materials and hardware operation with a complete service truck fleet to meet the needs of their growing customer base.
“Matériaux St Etienne is a great addition to the Québec network of Castle locations and we are proud to include this enthusiastic entrepreneur within our membership base.”
