FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Central Region Castle member adds location

As Castle Building Centres Group Ltd continues to reinforce their position as a dominant buying group in the industry and steadily adding new members in all regions of Canada; many of their members are growing locally, adding additional locations in nearby cities.

The most recent is Alf Curtis Home Improvements, owned and operated by the Curtis family; who are getting set to open their third Castle location, this time in Belleville, Ontario. Alf Curtis; founder, first opened his small lumber and building materials store in Peterborough back in 1975 and a second location in Lindsay, Ontario in 2005.

“I have great pride as I continue to watch Castle members expand and prosper through their dedication, commitment and strong work ethic. We congratulate Alf Curtis Home Improvements on their new location and growth and wish them much success. Another example of Castle’s winning business model of freedom, profitability, and unparalleled buying power in action.” Ken Jenkins, President

Alf Curtis Home Improvements is well-known in the Kawartha’s for servicing local contractors, DIYer’s and cottage country bound shoppers with all their Lumber, Building Materials and hardware needs. In addition; Alf Curtis is known for their incredible selection of brand name power tools and hardware available in-store and through their ecommerce website where consumers can order product for pick up in-store or for delivery. Alf Curtis Belleville will be managed by new branch manager Preston Collins who has been with Alf Curtis for 10 years and has over 20 years of industry experience.

“I’m excited with the prospect and challenge of starting up and managing the new Alf Curtis location. It’s a unique opportunity, in a key location, allowing us to bring to Belleville and Quinte West the excellent product selection and customer service that Alf Curtis is known for.” Preston Collins; Branch Manager, Alf Curtis Home Improvement, Belleville

The Belleville location where a former competing retail hardware store operated is undergoing a complete renovation and re-design by the Curtis Family. The property is poised on 5 acres of land and will offer the same comprehensive brand name hardware assortment. The lumber and building materials yard will have a 14,000 sq.ft. of warehouse space which is set to open next week with the retail store in early August. Preston and a team of knowledgeable and dedicated staff will be in place to assist the community of Belleville.

“It’s always a great feeling to see one of my member locations expand to new markets. The dynamic and visionary management team at Alf Curtis is unstoppable and I wish the family continued success.” Bruce Holman; Business Development Manager; Central Region

An official grand opening celebration is set to take place in the coming months following the opening of the new retail store. Congratulations and welcome to the Castle family.
