Castle Growth Continues in the Province of Quebec

Castle’s focus on supporting the independent LBM retailer continues to impact all areas of Canada, including the province of Quebec where they announced a new Castle location. D.F. Rouleau located in historic Les Hauteurs, QC will open their doors as Castle Centre de Rénovation.

The business has been a staple in the community for almost 100 years and was purchased in 2014 by young and energetic entrepreneur Valérie Potvin. Valérie has cultivated her own unique brand of service in the community. She has worked diligently to successfully grow and expand the business over the past 6 years to include lumber, building materials and hardware.

Valérie and her husband Samuel were frustrated with their former group. They were not getting the support they needed and knew it was time to consider their options. After learning more about Castle, they knew their business was a good fit and could continue grow and stay independent.
|
“What I like best about the Castle business model is that Castle is focused on putting the member first and contributing to my future success. My plan is to continue growing my business, so I need to be part of a buying group that will support and enable my growth.” Valérie Potvin, Owner

D.F. Rouleau’s move to Castle will enable them to offer customers access to a wider range of products and give them a more competitive advantage.

“Being an entrepreneur is challenging. Independents aligned with banners or brands that do not support their individual needs will continue to face challenges. Castle has nearly six decades of absolute commitment to Independents in the home improvement segment. Our members are the most profitable in the industry. We welcome D.F Rouleau to the Castle family.” Ken Jenkins, Castle President
