Castle Kicks Off New Year with New Growth!
|
After an incredible and record-breaking year of new member growth which saw over 25 new locations added across Canada, the Castle momentum continues with the announcement of a new dealer in the Maritimes. They welcome Landry Brothers Ltd. in Louisdale, Nova Scotia who has made the transition to Castle from a competing banner and is the first independent retailer to join the Castle group in the new year.

Established over 60 years ago, Landry Brothers Ltd. began as a plumbing and heating specialty store serving Cape Breton and mainland Nova Scotia. Founder Paul Landry has always believed that family is at the heart of the business and many decades of service, he is pleased to pass the reins on to his son-in-law Christian Sampson, and partners, Jonathan Stone, and Evan Marchand.

The trio have worked in the family business and understand their market dynamic. They come to Castle after a disappointing experience with their former buying group who insisted on controlling their identity, and business decisions. Christian and partners are ready to focus on what’s best for their business and the unique needs of their customers and community.

“Our previous banner just wasn't the right fit for our business. Costs were way too high and we often felt forced into taking on inventory to support their flyers. It didn’t feel like they were interested in supporting our business, only their own corporate brand.” Christian Sampson, Partner and General Manager

The team decided that it was time to make the move to Castle so they could instead continue to grow the brand their family has cultivated for over half a century. The team will continue to offer a full range of Lumber & Building Material Products, while taking advantage of Castle’s buying power.

“Independents across Canada are discovering the value of Castle’s unique business model. They are rising-up and taking control of the of their future success, by taking back their own brand. Castle projects another record-breaking year of new member growth in 2024, and we continue to be the fastest growing buying group in Canada.” Ken Jenkins, President & CEO
