First Nations Acquires Castle – Got Wood Building Supplies

Castle is pleased to announce that Ne-Daa-Kii-Me-Naan Inc., a proud First Nation-owned enterprise, has acquired Castle location Got Wood Building Supplies, in Geraldton, Ontario. Castle – Got Wood Building Supplies is already an integral part of the Greenstone community, serving as the local lumber, building materials and home improvement centre.

Established in 2012, Ne-Daa-Kii-Me-Naan Inc. has been dedicated to promoting Indigenous culture and creating new opportunities. The acquisition of Castle – Got Wood Building Supplies not only expands but also enhances their ability to serve the community with a diverse range of building material products. This closely aligns with Ne-Daa-Kii-Me-Naan Inc.'s vision of promoting economic growth within their First Nation communities.

“This venture is not just about business; it’s about empowering our communities and creating job opportunities for residents, and we are excited about the future potential with Castle.” Joe Baxter, President, Ne-Daa-Kii-Me-Naan Inc.

The immediate plan is to begin to expand their product offerings to the community and General Manager, Deanna Hoffman is thrilled with the opportunity to help the community grow. To celebrate this new chapter, the team will be hosting a grand opening event in December of this year.

“Castle is committed to the success of our independent member locations, and we encourage strong community connections. Ne-Daa-Kii-Me-Naan Inc is an example of how foundational these connections can be, and the impact they can have on the local residents. We want to welcome them to Castle family.” Ken Jenkins, President and CEO
